The Iowa Aviation Heritage Museum is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, EIN 42-1480998 and depends on your ongoing support.

The Iowa Aviation Heritage Museum, located at the Ankeny Regional Airport, and Lions Clubs of Iowa are pleased to host The Central Iowa Air Show, August 23-25, 2019. This air show has been rated as one of the top air shows in the United States for 2019, and includes everything needed for a complete weekend of fun and education.

Friday, August 23, starts the activities. During the day visiting performers will work in conjunction with Exec 1 Aviation representatives, military pilots, and employees of the FAA to conduct an educational program directed at students aged 12 and up. Students will go station-to-station learning about all aspects of aviation, from skills needed to pilot aircraft to safety and maintenance requirements. Guidance will also be offered on how to become involved in an aviation career.

The educational program leads to a concert on Friday evening that will be unlike any other concert held in Central Iowa this year. Aerial acts will be presented in between local and nationally recognized bands, and will end with a unique fireworks display based in midair. A “Steak Fry” will be present to provide some of the finer culinary fair offered in the area, complete with local wines and brews.

Saturday and Sunday both start with a pancake breakfast service for those flying in, and for those who simply wish to attend. Aircraft will be on display throughout the day, and opportunities will exist for the public to meet and talk with each of the aerial performers (for more information on individual performers, please see the biographical information attached).

In order to make this event happen, we need your help. Sponsorships of individual acts are available. VIP areas are available to entertain customers, suppliers, and employees’ families. Vendor slots are available on a first come/first served basis. Purchase of weekend passes, general admission tickets, and advertising links are also available.

Please help support the air show, and plan to have a good time.

Sincerely,

Michael D. Callison

Goerge Preddy WWII ACE

Goerge Preddy was one of the Top Aces in WWII. He shot down 6 ME-109 German Aircraft in 5 minutes. He was killed by freindly fire on Chistmas day 1944. If he had not died on Chrtistmas Day he would have probably been WWII Top Ace.
